We are recruiting for a Deputy Matron to work in Association of Colleges Nursing Care Home
About the role: As Deputy Matron you will assist the Matron in the effective management of care in the home. Provide leadership and co-ordination of the Care Teams, assisting in the development, monitoring and evaluation of nursing care standards. Participating fully in the care process, leading from the front by practice and example. Taking full clinical and managerial responsibility for the home in the absence of the Matron, participating in On-Call arrangements and providing emergency cover as necessary so that a Registered 1st level nurse is always on duty.
Main Duties: In co-operation with the Matron, ensure the creation and maintenance of a safe and homely environment.Ensure that assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care takes place in line with the agreed process.Carry out nursing procedures and treatments assisting Medical Practitioners when required.Responsible for ensuring that the Health and Safety at Work Act Regulations are carried out and that staff have been informed of their obligations under this Act.
